90% Faster. 70% Fewer Staff. Same Gate Volume.

Gate associates were checking three systems for every arrival, backing trailers up onto surrounding highways. A single identifier lookup changed everything.

The Challenge

Gate associates at a major manufacturing facility were checking three separate systems — emails, spreadsheets, and a YMS — before allowing each delivery. The multi-step process created long processing queues that backed trailers up onto surrounding access roads and highways. Three associates were required to manage the volume, and even then the process was slow, error-prone, and entirely dependent on staff who knew which systems to check.

What We Built

Vantage 9 consolidated all gate data behind a single identifier. Drivers provided a BOL number at the gate. Associates entered it once and received all delivery information — route, load, compliance status, and dock assignment — in a single view. The multi-step manual process was replaced with a single lookup that surfaced everything needed to clear a delivery in seconds.

The Outcome

Gate processing times fell by 90%. Gate associate headcount was reduced by 70% — not through elimination but through redeployment of staff whose time was no longer consumed by manual data lookup. The gate operation now handles the same volume faster, with fewer people, and with a complete audit trail on every transaction.
